20CrNiMo steel is originally a steel grade 8620 in AISI and SAE standards in the United States. The hardenability is similar to that of 20CrNi steel. Although the Ni content in the steel is half that of 20CrNi steel, the addition of a small amount of Mo element causes the upper part of the isothermal transformation curve of austenite to shift to the right; Due to the appropriate increase in Mn content, the hardenability of this steel is still very good and its strength is higher than that of 20CrNi steel. Commonly used for manufacturing gears in engines and transmission systems of small and medium-sized cars and tractors; It can also replace 12CrNi3 steel in manufacturing carburized and cyanide parts with high core performance requirements, such as the teeth and teeth of cone drills used in petroleum drilling and metallurgical open-pit mines. 20CrNiMo not only has good comprehensive properties but also can withstand certain temperatures due to its molybdenum content. Forgings for connecting rod and valve sections of internal combustion engines with gear rotors used for manufacturing steam turbines.

Heat treatment process

Heat treatment specification.

Quenching 850ºC, oil cold; Temper 200ºC, air cooling.
Delivery status.
Delivery in heat treatment (normalizing, annealing or high temperature tempering) or no heat treatment condition, the condition of delivery shall be indicated in the contract.

Product specification

Specification: outer diameter of hot-rolled pipe is 32~630mm. The wall thickness is 2.5~75mm. The outer diameter of cold rolled (cold drawn) pipe is 5~200mm. The wall thickness is 2.5~12mm.
Appearance quality: the internal and external surfaces of steel pipes shall be free of cracks, folds, folds, delamination, hairlines and scabs. These defects shall be completely removed, and the wall thickness and outer diameter shall not exceed the negative deviation after removal.
Both ends of the steel pipe shall be cut at right angles and the burrs shall be removed. Gas cutting and hot saw cutting are allowed for steel pipes with wall thickness greater than 20mm. The head may not be cut after the agreement between the supplier and the supplier.
