The alloy structural steel has proper hardenability. After proper metal heat treatment, its microstructure is uniform sorbite, bainite or extremely fine pearlite, so it has higher tensile strength and yield strength ratio (generally about 0.85), higher toughness and fatigue strength, and lower ductile brittle transition temperature. It can be used to manufacture machine parts with large section size.
