The S and P impurity content of 1015high-quality carbon structural steel is lower than that of ordinary carbon structural steel, generally below 0.035% (mass fraction). According to the carbon content, it can be divided into low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel; According to the different manganese content, it can be divided into two categories: ordinary manganese content and high manganese content. This kind of steel has a large output and a wide range of uses. Most of them are rolled (or forged) into round, square and flat products, and some are made into pipes and wires. It is generally used after heat treatment such as normalizing or tempering, and is mostly used for machinery or machine structural parts. 1015 steel is a low carbon steel material with good ductility and plasticity. Because of its low carbon content (between 0.12-0.18%), its hardness is relatively low. In addition, due to the low carbon content of No. 15 steel, it is difficult to improve the hardness of parts made of such materials after heat treatment. It needs to be heated to above 1100 ºC, which can not be handled by ordinary barium salt bath furnace, and needs to be heated by high temperature nitrate bath furnace.
