CuZn33 has very good plasticity (is the best in brass) and high strength, good machinability, easy to weld, very stable to general corrosion, but easy to produce corrosion cracking in ammonia atmosphere. CuZn33 is the most widely used type of brass.
CuZn35 brass properties between CuZn33 and CuZn40, cheaper than H68, has good mechanical properties and high strength and plasticity, can withstand cold and hot pressure processing, has the tendency of corrosion rupture.
CUZn36 has excellent mechanical properties, high strength and plasticity. It withstands cold pressure treatment well and has a tendency to corrode and crack. CUZN36 brass is used to manufacture small hardware, daily necessities, screws and other parts.
CuZn40 has good mechanical properties, good plasticity in hot state, plastic can also be cold state, good cutting, easy fiber welding and welding, corrosion resistance, but easy to corrosion rupture, in addition to the price is cheap, is the most widely used a common brass variety.

Leaded brass is a complex brass with lead as the main additive element. It is a combination of Cu, Pb, Al and Zn4 non-ferrous metals in a certain ratio. Lead is rarely solidly soluble in Cu-Zn alloy, and exists as an independent phase in the alloy. The free particles are distributed in grain boundaries and crystals, which not only lubricates the metal, but also makes the chips break, which can improve the cutting property and wear resistance of brass. The workability of leaded brass is proportional to the lead content, but when the lead content exceeds 3%, the workability of copper is no longer significantly improved, and the hardness, strength and elongation of brass are reduced. Therefore, the main properties of lead brass can be summarized as wear resistance, corrosion resistance and good toughness.
