About products

20CrNiMo steel is originally the steel grade 8620 in American AISI and SAE standards. The hardenability is similar to that of 20CrNi steel. Although the content of Ni in steel is half of that of 20CrNi steel, the upper part of the isothermal transformation curve of austenite moves to the right due to the addition of a small amount of Mo; Due to the proper increase of Mn content, the hardenability of this steel is still very good, and its strength is also higher than that of 20CrNi steel. It is often used to manufacture gears in engines and transmission systems of small and medium-sized cars and tractors; It can also replace 12CrNi3 steel to manufacture carburized parts and cyanided parts with high core performance, such as the jaw and cone body of the cone bit used in petroleum drilling and metallurgical open-pit mines. Because 20CrNiMo contains molybdenum, it has good comprehensive performance and can withstand certain temperature. The forging of connecting rod and valve section of internal combustion engine with gear rotor is used for manufacturing steam turbine.
