1. Material preparation:
-Choose suitable raw materials, usually high-quality alloy steel or aluminum alloy. -Perform chemical composition analysis and mechanical property testing on raw materials to ensure compliance with forging requirements.
2. Material cutting:
-Cut the raw material into bars or blocks of a certain length according to the size and shape requirements of the forging wheel.
3. Preheating:
-Preheat the raw materials after cutting to reduce temperature stress during forging and prevent material cracking.
4. Heating:
-Place the preheated raw materials into a heating furnace and heat them to the forging temperature. The heating temperature depends on the type of material and forging process requirements.
5. Forging:
-Feed the metal material heated to the forging temperature into forging machinery (such as forging hammers, presses, etc.) for forging.
-During the forging process, pressure is applied to the material through a mold, causing it to undergo plastic deformation and form a wheel shaped forging.
-The forging process may include multiple steps, such as preliminary forging, rough forging, precision forging, etc., each step aimed at achieving more precise shapes and sizes.
6. Cooling:
-The forged wheel parts need to be cooled appropriately to eliminate internal stress, prevent deformation and cracking.
-The cooling method can be air cooling, water cooling, or oil cooling, depending on the characteristics of the material and forging process.
7. Heat treatment:
-In order to improve the mechanical properties and internal structure of forged wheels, heat treatment such as annealing, normalizing, quenching, etc. is usually required.
8. Precision machining:
-After heat treatment, forged wheels may require mechanical processing such as turning, grinding, drilling, etc. to achieve the final size and surface quality requirements.
9. Quality inspection:
-Quality inspection is required at every stage of production, including dimension measurement, surface inspection, mechanical performance testing, etc., to ensure that forged wheels meet standards and customer requirements.
10. Surface treatment:
-As needed, forging wheels may undergo surface treatments such as painting, plating, etc. to enhance their corrosion resistance and appearance.
