Application

Very high strength, hardness and yield ratio can be obtained, but the hardenability is small, the heat resistance is poor, and the ability to bear dynamic load and fatigue load is low. Such as springs for automobiles, tractors, railway vehicles and general machinery. 65Mn has simple composition, better hardenability, comprehensive mechanical properties, decarburization and other technological properties than carbon steel, but it is sensitive to overheating, has temper brittleness, easy to crack after quenching, low price and large amount. Manufacture all kinds of small section flat springs, round springs, spring springs, etc., as well as valve springs, spring rings, shock absorbers, clutch springs, brake springs, etc

 

Spring is used under impact, vibration or long-term alternating stress, so spring steel is required to have high tensile strength, elastic limit and high fatigue strength. In terms of technology, the spring steel is required to have certain hardenability, non-decarburization, good surface quality and other carbon spring steel, that is, high-quality carbon structural steel with carbon content WC in the range of 0.6% - 0.9%. The alloy spring steel is mainly of silicomanganese series, and their carbon content is slightly lower, mainly by increasing the silicon content Wsi to improve the performance; In addition, there are alloy spring steels of copper, tungsten and vanadium.
