Specially shaped seamless steel pipes are a general term for seamless steel pipes with other cross-sectional shapes except for circular pipes. According to the different cross-sectional dimensions of steel pipes, they can be divided into equal wall thickness irregular seamless steel pipes (code D), unequal wall thickness irregular seamless steel pipes (code BD), and variable diameter irregular seamless steel pipes (code BJ). Specially shaped seamless steel pipes are widely used in various structural components, tools, and mechanical components. Compared with circular pipes, special-shaped pipes generally have larger moments of inertia and cross-sectional modulus, and have greater bending and torsion resistance, which can greatly reduce structural weight and save steel.

Characteristics and application: This steel series is imported from American AISI/SAE standard steel grade 8720. Its hardenability is similar to that of 20CrNi steel, and its strength is higher than that of 20CrNi steel. Used to manufacture gears for engines and transmission systems of small and medium-sized cars and tractors; It can also replace 12CrNi3 to manufacture carburized steel and carbonitriding parts with higher requirements for central performance, such as the jaw and cone body of cone bits for oil drilling and metallurgical mining.
